أَنْتَ لَسْتَ قَطْرَةً فِي مُحِيطٍ، بَلْ أَنْتَ المُحِيطُ بِأَكْمَلِهِ فِي قَطْرَةٍ وَاحِدَة.

“You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean, in a drop.”

فإن أردتِ اختبار النور الأبدي، فعليكِ أن تُخرجي الماضي والمستقبل من عقلك وتظلي داخل اللحظة الراهنة.

“If you wish to taste eternal light, you must release the past and the future from your mind and remain — fully, quietly — inside this single, boundless moment.”

وَما العَيشُ إِلّا غَفلَةٌ بَعدَ غَفلَةٍ يَمُرُّ بِها الإِنسانُ حَتّى يُغيَّبا

“Life is nothing but one heedlessness after another, through which a person passes until he is buried.”

تَعَبٌ كُلُّها الحَياةُ فَما أَعجَبُ إِلّا مِن راغِبٍ في ازدِياد

“All of life is weariness — I marvel only at one who desires more of it.”

هَذا ما جَنَتهُ يَدايَ وَكَفى وَلَيسَ عَلى اللهِ بِمُستَنكَر

“This is what my own hands have wrought — enough; and it is not to be wondered at from God.”

نَحنُ نَختارُ أَفراحَنا وَأَحزانَنا قَبلَ أَن نَعيشَها

“We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.”

كُلُّ ما نَراهُ هُوَ لَيسَ إِلّا ظِلًّا لِما لا نَراه

“Everything we see is but a shadow of what we do not see.”

الفَنُّ خُطوَةٌ مِن المَعروفِ إِلى المَجهول

“Art is a step from nature toward the Infinite.”

مَن لَم يَختَبِر الحُزنَ لا يَعرِفُ مَعنى الفَرَح

“He who has not tasted sorrow knows not the meaning of joy.”

الكَمالُ في الرُّوحِ لَيسَ في الجَسَد

“Perfection is in the soul, not in the body.”

كُلُّ ما في الطَّبيعَةِ يَتَكَلَّمُ، لَكِنَّنا لا نَسمَعُ إِلّا صَوتَنا

“All things in nature speak, but we only hear our own voices.”

لا يُمكِنُ لِلطَّيرِ أَن يُحَلِّقَ بِجَناحٍ واحِد

“A bird cannot fly with only one wing.”

العالَمُ مِرآةٌ لِنُفوسِنا

“The world is a mirror of our souls.”

ما أَبعَدَ ما بَينَ القَلبِ وَالعَقلِ في بَعضِ الأَحيان

“How far apart the heart and the mind can sometimes be.”

الحُبُّ فِي الأَرْضِ بَعْضٌ مِنْ تَخَيُّلِنَا.. لَوْ لَمْ نَجِدْهُ عَلَيْهَا لَاخْتَرَعْنَاه

“Love on earth is partly our imagination; if we didn't find it, we would have invented it.”

وَما الدُّنيا سِوى حُلمٍ طَويلٍ وَسَكرٍ لَم يُفِق مِنهُ نَبيه

“The world is nothing but a long dream and an intoxication from which even its prophet has not sobered.”

أَنا في قَيدِ الحَياةِ وَلَستُ أَدري لِماذا جِئتُ وَلا أَيَن المَصير

“I am bound by life, yet I know not why I came nor where the end lies.”

الوَجودُ سُؤالٌ وَالعَدَمُ جَواب

“Existence is a question; non-existence is its answer.”

كُلُّنا في مَسرَحِ الوُجودِ نُمَثِّل ثُمَّ نَغيب

“We are all players on the stage of existence — then we vanish.”

كَم مِن لَيلٍ طَويلٍ تَساءَلتُ فيهِ عَن سِرِّ الوُجودِ فَلَم أَجِد جَواباً

“How many a long night have I asked about the secret of existence and found no answer.”

كثيرٌ من الناسِ يعرفون عيوبَ الآخرين، وقليلٌ منهم يعرفون عيوبَ أنفسهم

“Many people know the faults of others; few know their own.”

مَن رأى عيبَ نفسه اشتغل به عن عيوب الناس

“Whoever sees his own faults is too occupied with them to notice the faults of others.”

الذَّاكِرَةُ ليسَت ما نَتَذَكَّرُه، بَل ما نَختارُ أَن نَنساه

“Memory is not what we remember, but what we choose to forget.”

الغِيابُ يُكَبِّرُ الأَشياءَ وَيَجعَلُها أَعظَمَ مِمّا هيَ في الحَقيقَة

“Absence magnifies things and makes them greater than they truly are.”

القلب يرى ما لا تراه العين، والروح تفهم ما لا يفهمه العقل وحده

“The heart perceives beyond vision's reach; the spirit knows truths reason's confines cannot embrace”
