كنتُ أكتبُ عنكِ كي أُفرِّغَ نفسي منكِ، كتبتُ ... كتبتُ ... كتبتُ، ولكني اكتشفتُ في النهاية أني كلَّما كتبتُ عنكِ ازددتُ بكِ امتلاءً.

“I wrote about you to empty myself of you. I wrote and wrote and wrote — only to discover that every word I gave you filled me with you all the more.”

أمتطي حزني الأعمى لوحدي في الليلة المظلمة، فيرعبني صهيل الفقد، أمضي إلى حتفي دون رسن، فيسحق الحزن أحلامي الصغيرة تحت حوافره.

“I ride my blind grief alone through the darkest of nights — the whinny of loss terrifies me. I gallop toward my ruin without a rein, as sorrow crushes my small dreams beneath its hooves.”

لَيسَ مِن يَكتُبُ بِالحِبرِ كَمَن يَكتُبُ بِدَمِ القَلب

“One who writes with ink is not like one who writes with their heart's blood.”

وَإِنّي وَإِن كُنتُ الأَخيرَ زَمانُهُ لَآتٍ بِما لَم تَستَطِعهُ الأَوائِل

“Though I am the last in time, I shall bring what the ancients could not.”

الشعرُ هو الصوتُ الذي يخرجُ من القلب حين يعجزُ اللسانُ عن الكلام

“Poetry is the voice that leaves the heart when the tongue is unable to speak.”

إِنَّ الشِّعْرَ رَغِيفٌ يُخْبَزُ لِلْفُقَرَاء

“Poetry is a loaf of bread baked for the poor.”

الشِّعْرُ لَيْسَ وَظِيفَةً، إِنَّهُ انْفِجَار

“Poetry is not a job; it is an explosion.”

أَنَا رَجُلٌ يَعِيشُ فِي مَدِينَةِ الكَلِمَات

“I am a man who lives in the city of words.”

إِنَّ الحُبَّ هُوَ أَنْ تَتَحَوَّلِي إِلَى قَصِيدَة

“Love is for you to transform into a poem.”

إِنَّ الحُبَّ فِي مِصْرَ كَالمَوتِ، قَضَاءٌ وَقَدَر

“Love in Egypt is like death; it is a matter of fate and destiny.”

كُلُّ كَلِمَةٍ أَكتُبُها هيَ جِسرٌ أَعبُرُهُ مِن الصَّمتِ إِلى الوُجود

“Every word I write is a bridge I cross from silence into existence.”

أَكتُبُ لِأَنَّني لا أَستَطيعُ أَن أَصمُتَ أَمامَ أَشياءَ تُؤلِمُني

“I write because I cannot be silent in the face of things that hurt me.”

الشعر حديث الروح مع الكون

“In poetry, the soul communes with all existence, whispers secrets to the eternal cosmos”

الشاعر يحمل ألم الأرض ويرتقي به إلى السماء

“The poet transmutes mortal suffering into celestial song, lifting pain toward the divine”

الشعر فن النفس، لا فن الكلمات

“True poetry transcends mere language—it is the soul's own voice singing eternal truths”

الشاعر لا يكتب بيده، بل بروحه

“A poet's words flow not from fingers, but from the depths of the eternal soul”
