A popular Arabic proverb prizing lived experience over theoretical learning: consult someone who has actually been through a matter, not only the trained expert. It circulates widely in spoken Arabic as folk wisdom, without a named author.

مثَلٌ عربيٌّ شائع يُقدّم الخبرة المُعاشة على العلم النظريّ: استشِر مَن جرّب الأمر لا مَن درسه وحده. وهو من الأمثال الدارجة على الألسنة في العالم العربيّ بلا قائلٍ معروف.
