مثَلٌ في الحاجة إلى التعاون: فاليد الواحدة لا يصدر عنها تصفيق، ولا يتمّ الأمر بطرفٍ واحد. وهو من الأمثال السائرة، وله نظائر شبه حرفيّة في لغاتٍ كثيرة.

A proverb on the need for cooperation: a single hand makes no applause, and nothing is accomplished by one party alone. It is part of the common proverbial tradition, with near-identical forms in many languages.
