مثَلٌ عربيٌّ إسلاميٌّ مشهور في سياسة الحكم: فالعدل قِوامُ المُلك وبقاؤه، والظلم خرابُه. وهو مبدأٌ تناولته كتب الأدب السلطاني وأقوال علماء كابن خلدون وابن تيمية، وقد جرى مجرى الأمثال؛ وليس آيةً ولا حديثاً، وإن كان معناه متجذّراً في تأكيد الإسلام على العدل.

A famous Arabic-Islamic maxim of statecraft: just rule is what sustains a realm, while injustice ruins it. It expresses a principle developed across the “mirrors for princes” tradition and the writings of scholars such as Ibn Khaldūn and Ibn Taymiyya. It is a proverbial saying — not a Qurʾanic verse or prophetic hadith — though its meaning is rooted in the Islamic emphasis on justice.
