حديثٌ يرويه عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما: «اليدُ العُليا خيرٌ من اليدِ السُّفلى»، واليدُ العليا هي المُنفِقة والسُّفلى هي السائلة. أخرجه البخاري (١٤٢٩)، وهو حديثٌ صحيح.

A hadith narrated by Ibn ʿUmar: the upper hand is better than the lower hand — the upper being the hand that gives and the lower the hand that asks. Recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (1429) — authentic.
