حكمةٌ متداولةٌ في ذمّ التسويف، تحثُّ على إنجاز عمل اليوم في يومه ولا يؤجَّل إلى الغد. وهي من الحِكَم المشتركة بين الأمم، تجري في العربية مجرى المثل السائر لا قولَ قائلٍ بعينه.

A widely used maxim against procrastination, urging that today’s work be done today and not put off until tomorrow. The same wisdom recurs across many languages — the English “never put off till tomorrow what you can do today” is a close parallel — and in Arabic it circulates as common proverbial advice rather than the saying of a named author.
