الإيمانُ بضعٌ وسَبعونَ -أو بضعٌ وسِتُّونَ- شُعبةً، فأفضَلُها قَولُ لا إلَهَ إلَّا اللهُ، وأدناها إماطةُ الأذى عَنِ الطَّريقِ ..
“Faith unfolds in seventy ways: from the declaration of God's oneness to the kindness of removing obstacles from others' paths.”
Literal translation
الترجمة الحرفية“The Prophet said: Faith has over seventy branches; the highest is to say 'There is no god but Allah,' and the lowest is to remove harm from the path.”

A hadith narrated by Abū Hurayra: faith has some seventy-odd branches, the highest being the testimony 'there is no god but God' and the lowest removing harm from the road. Recorded in Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim (35) and Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī (9) — authentic.
حديثٌ يرويه أبو هريرة رضي الله عنه: «الإيمانُ بِضعٌ وسبعونَ شُعبةً، فأفضلُها قولُ لا إلهَ إلا الله، وأدناها إماطةُ الأذى عن الطريق». أخرجه مسلم (٣٥) والبخاري (٩)، وهو حديثٌ صحيح.
